For businesspeople—indeed, for everyone—the last year has been one of monumental change. On the cataclysmic morning of September 11, war broke out, and not long after, the high-flying economy took a nosedive. Yes, the economy was drifting downward before September 11, but on that day its slope shifted from green triangle to black diamond. All at once, executives found themselves hurtling through very rough terrain.
